Hair How-To: Feminine Active Catwalk Edutorial – Pernilla

The Feminine Active trend from Essential Looks 1:2019 is all about gently undone looks with genderless, yet feminine finishes; think street style where fashion goes from the sidewalk to the catwalk and back again.

The Key Feminine Active Catwalk Look has been cut by Schwarzkopf Professional Editorial Stylist Tyler Johnston and colored by Color Experimentalist Edoardo Paludo. The final look is a shorter style, colored an icy IGORA ROYAL blond with a modern color edge using BOLD COLOR WASHES in BLUE.

To recreate this cool color look, watch our edutorial video featuring Edoardo Paludo below or follow the pictorial steps:

Details:

  • After sectioning the hair as detailed, Edoardo works through the sections using the #INANDOUT technique; he starts at the back of the head creating back-to-back slices, alternating between color 1 and color 2
  • Color 3 is then applied towards the top of the back-to-back slices, at the front of the head. This technique helps to add color depth and a more natural, undone color effect
  • After completing the back-to-back slices around the head, Edoardo applies color 4 to the roots. For a modern color twist color 5 is then creatively applied freehand to areas within the hair
