Kea participated in Shaping Futures in Battambang and secured herself a job placement in a Beauty Salon.
After the training, Shobha got a job at Twinkle Beauty Parlour.
Mario, from the SOS Children‘s Village in Chennai, India received a job placement right after the Shaping Futures training in a local salon.
Ashraf took part in Shaping Futures training during 2014, as well as in a 3-week training program offered by the salon chain, Naturals. When he stuggled to find a job, Ashraf asked his trainer, Paul Meekin, for advice; Paul recommended that he starts his own small self-made salon... Ashraf is now taking his first steps as a salon owner.
Diana gained a lot of knowledge during the Shaping Futures training in 2014. As she presented herself in a positive way, she got a job placement at Nadia salon in Irbid.
After being part of the hairdressing training Shaping Futures, Minh’s destiny changed. He got a job at Saigon hair salon in Pleiku city and can now support other people in need. On Sundays, he does charitable hair cutting.
Having found out about the Shaping Futures training, Sam resigned from her job in a hairdressing salon where she got paid below the minimum wage. It paid off, as Sam has now opened her own hairdressing salon, together with her mother Marylin, who also took part in the Shaping Futures training.
The Shaping Futures training provided Monique the additional skills she needed for her career. Right now, she is very busy doing home servicing by applying her massage and newly acquired hairdressing skills. Thanks to her old and new clients, she has a steady flow of income.
Right after the Shaping Futures training, Matea received a job placement at the salon Marija, in Zagreb. Alongside her work, Matea continues her education with the ASK Academy, where she is learning to become a Junior Assistant Trainer.
Laura has participated in Shaping Futures three times in a row. She’s definitely showing how to fully embrace all the opportunities the project offers by getting a scholarship for Riga Style & Fashion Vocational School, connections to do a internship in hairdressing salons and further practicing her skills at the Schwarzkopf Professional Riga office.
Although Anna is multitalented and a winner of many art competitions organized by SOS sponsors, the conditions at home didn’t allow her to continue learning. Thanks to Shaping Futures, she got the opportunity to start her studies at the School of Hairdressing in Siedlce.
Maja participated in two Shaping Futures trainings. Thanks to our talented volunteers, she was able to extend her hairdressing skills and find a job at a Schwarzkopf Professional partner salon.
After successfully mastering two trainings, Khadija has secured herself a job placement in Casablanca.
Tebogo, South Africa
Tebogo was one of the best students trained during our course in South Africa in 2013, which earned him an apprenticeship at Trendy Hair Fashion in Poland, owned by award-winning hairdresser and renowned stylist, Ania Kulec-Karampotis. Back in South Africa, he was employed by one of the top hair salons in the country, the Jeauvals Group.
Constanze, South Africa
Constanze gained important hairdressing skills during her time at the Shaping Futures training in 2014. Now employed by one of the top hair salons in South Africa, The Jeauvals Group, she can show off her abilities.
Duver and Alexis, Colombia
Following his achievements with the Shaping Futures training, Duver is a role model for his brother. He participated twice in our training, which lead him to open his own salon. His passion towards hairdressing amazed our team, so he was invited by Schwarzkopf Professional to participate on the stage of the Essential Looks show as a newcomer. Now, his brother attends a Sunday hairdressing course himself, to work in their salon Street DA, named after the initials of the first names Duver and Alexis.
